Do your thoughts appear to be in training for the Indy500?
Thoughts are the byproduct of stress. Thoughts are unconscious. Telling yourself to stop thinking is just as impossible as telling your heart to stop beating.
They are automatic.
o Browsing. Stop browsing the internet. Yes, this includes social media. Give yourself a curfew and hold true to it.
o Breathe. Breathe in and then out. Mindfulness of breathing brings you into the present moment. Take note of how the thoughts subside with your breath.
o Cloud watching. Don’t chase every thought … they are like clouds passing in the sky!
